Alt-Country Coming to Mankato: First Summer Concert at Vetter Stone Announced

(Mankato, MN) – The first summer concert planned for Vetter Stone Amphitheater in Mankato has been announced and it’ll feature a line-up of what would best be described as Americana/Alt-Country.

The Turnpike Troubadours will headline the show on Saturday, July 14th. They’ll be joined by alt-country bands Old 97’s, Shooter Jennings (son of Waylon Jennings and Jessie Colter) and the Bottle Rockets.

The latest release from the Turnpike Troubadours “A Long Way From Your Heart” was named as one of the 40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2017 by Rolling Stone.

Tickets for the show will go on sale next Friday, March 16 and will be available at the Verizon Center box office, by phone at 800-745-3000, and online at
