Arrest Warrant Issued for Wife of Murdered Blooming Prairie Man

(Blooming Prairie, MN) – An arrest warrant for felony theft has now been issued for the wife of a murdered Blooming Prairie man.

Investigators believe that after David Riess was murdered, Lois Riess transferred funds from her husband’s business account into his personal account. Lois Riess then forged his signature on three checks to herself totaling $11,000.

In addition to the warrant on the felony theft charge, investigators continue to seek Riess as a person of interest in David Riess’ death. His body was found on March 23rd. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Riess is thought to be traveling in a white 2005 Cadillac Escalade with MN license plate 864-LAE, similar to that pictured.

Riess is decribed as 5’5″ tall and 165 pounds with brown eyes and blonde hair, although she has also been a brunette.

Do not approach her, as investigators believe she may be armed. Lois Riess is known to frequent casinos.
