Attempted Robbery at Mankato Quick Mart, Police Seek Public’s Help

(Mankato, MN) – The Mankato Department of Public Safety is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an attempted robbery.

Police say the man went to the Quick Mart at 930 Madison Avenue around 10:15 Friday night and handed the clerk a note demanding money. Instead, the clerk immediately called 911 and the suspect took his note and fled.

Police swarmed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

He’s described as a white male around five-feet eight-inches tall. He wore a gray jacket, blue jeans, a brown watch cap, sunglasses and a scarf over his facial features.

There were no injuries.
