(New Ulm, MN) – Residents in Brown County and surrounding areas are being warned about a local asphalt scam.
The Sheriff’s Office sayd it received a report on Wednesday that rural home owners were promised a specific amount of asphalt to be placed on their driveway. The suspects would only accept cash, and used very poor quality asphalt to cover only about 1/8th of the agreed upon amount.
The suspects are described as three white males, one driving a white pickup truck, two in tandem axle dump truck, with a trailer, holding a yellow skid loader, and small yellow packer. The equipment looked clean and freshly painted.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who had contact with these men or anyone who has information on these individuals to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 507-233-6720.
