(Mankato, MN) – A 21-year-old Mankato man stands accused of breaking into a home and making himself a snack, while leaving the family in fear.
Dylan Bradley Madden is charged with one felony count of first degree burglary.
According to the complaint, Madden broke into a home in the Mankato hilltop area around 2:00am on March 10th, while a mother and her two juvenile children were asleep. The father was out of town for business at the time.
The mother says Madden cooked himself some of her kids’ chicken nuggets and got himself something to drink.
He was discovered when the woman was awoken by a “dream of something being wrong” and went downstairs, saw him and called 911. Madden was arrested by responding officers as he was trying to leave the home.
Police say the mother was visibly distraught and shaking uncontrollably as she was worried for her safety and the safety of her children, not knowing why Madden was in the home or if he was armed.
A preliminary breath test put Madden’s blood alcohol level at .10.
