(Le Center, MN) – A 30-year-old Le Center woman stands accused of assaulting another woman with a baseball bat.

Kailyn Jeanne Jewett is charged with a felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon.

According to the complaint, the victim was walking down a Le Center street when Jewett started following her in a van. At one point, Jewett got out of her vehicle and confronted the victim about “screwing her man” and then hit her with a pink baseball bat.

The victim then went to the law enforcement center to report the alleged assault and Jewett followed her there and parked outside.

Police say Jewett denied hitting the woman, but police could see a pink baseball bat on the floor of her vehicle, behind the driver’s side. The bat was taken as evidence and Jewett was arrested.

Police say the victim told them that she knew the man in question, but that they’ve had no relationship.
