(Mankato, MN) – A 61-year-old Mankato man stands accused of sexually assaulting a woman as he checked to see if she was cheating.
Gregg Rodvik is charged with criminal sexual conduct in the 5th degree.
According to the complaint, Blue Earth County deputies responded just after midnight Wednesday, after a woman called 911 to report the assault. She said after she returned home from helping a friend, Rodvik forcefully put his finger inside her vagina, without her permission, so he “could determine whether or not she was cheating on him.”
The woman says she told him to stop and pushed him away.
Rodvik and the woman both live in the residence, but are in the process of ending their relationship. The victim’s daughter was also there, but sleeping at the time of the incident.
Police took Rodvik into custody and say under questioning, he admitted to putting his “finger down there,” claiming the victim said he could do so. Rodvik also told investigators that was unable to tell if she had sexual intercourse.
The woman was taken to MCHS for a sexual assault examination.
