(Mankato, MN) – An 18-year-old woman from New Ulm has been charged with a felony for allegedly assaulting a Mankato police officer.

According to the complaint, Madison Leah Schiller was picked up Wednesday by an officer responding to a report of potential narcotics use.

It was determined that Schiller had a warrant for her arrest so was brought to a holding cell at police headquarters to await transport to jail. While there she allegedly told the officer that she was “not (expletive) going anywhere” and the only way she would leave is if her mom picked her up.

Schiller was allowed to call her parents, but afterward she allegedly became increasingly belligerent and hit the officer with her phone. The officer was eventually able to pin Schiller up against a wall and gain control of her.
