(Madelia, MN) – Residents in the Madelia area now have a new place to grab a cold beer on the weekends.
Lost Sanity Brewing opens at 5:00 this afternoon (Friday) at 12 West Main Street in downtown Madelia.
Lost Sanity is owned by the father and son team of Doug and Caleb Fenske and is an enterprise that grew out of Caleb’s long-time hobby of homebrewing.
Customers can sit for a drink or grab a growler to go of Botched Lobotomy Brown Ale, Catatonic Cream Ale, Hopzophrenia IPA and Personality Disorder Porter.
In addition to the beer, Lost Sanity will have craft sodas and snacks, and will allow customers to bring in outside food.
And if anyone has a question or idea for the brewery, the Fenskes say let them know.
Lost Sanity will be open today 5-10pm, Saturday from Noon until 10pm and then closed on Easter Sunday.
Normal business hours after this weekend will be Thursdays 5-9pm, Fridays 5-10pm, Saturdays Noon to 10pm and Sundays Noon to 6pm.
An official Grand Opening is scheduled for May 12th.
The building that houses Lost Sanity Brewing had housed a pharmacy for more than a century, but that business closed in the 1990s. It was not among those damaged in the fire of 2016.
