(Mankato, MN) – Felony charges have been filed against a 21-year-old woman for an alleged assault last week in Eagle Lake.

Jennilyn Thames is accused of assault with a dangerous weapon and threats of violence.

According to the complaint, Thames hit her estranged husband with her fist, her shoe and a lamp. She also allegedly came at him a couple times with a knife and tried to attack him with it, but he was able to wrestle it out of her hand.

The husband says Thames also threatened have him killed and to hurt herself and blame him. He also claims that she tried to take the kids in the car, “even though she was very intoxicated.”

Police say the parents of Thames also backed up the story of what happened.
