Man Takes Hammer to Co-Worker’s Head in Dispute Over Productivity

(Mankato, MN) – A 42-year-old man stands accused of attacking a co-worker with a hammer in a dispute over productivity.

Antonio Powell is charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon for the incident Monday at an unnamed business in Blue Earth County.

According to the complaint, Powell and the victim began arguing when Powell grabbed a hammer and hit the victim in the head two times. A group of other employees jumped in and separated the two.

The victim was taken to the hospital. Powell was arrested and the hammer was taken into evidence.

Police say Powell told them that the victim constantly hounds him to pick up the pace of his work.
