(Mankato, MN) – With the coming changing of the seasons, the owners of a Mankato Food Truck are expanding their operations to include a sit down restaurant and bar.
“The 507” will open this fall at 526 South Front Street, in the location that was previously The Savoy. An application with the city for an on-sale liquor license is pending, along with an application to allow lawful gambling, ie: pull tabs.
The brick and mortar location comes just months after the debut of The 507 food truck in April. The truck was a regular this summer at places like The Hub, Mankato Brewery, Moondogs games and other community events.
The food truck menu includes the likes of sliders, gourmet hot dogs and Philly sandwiches, and those offerings and more are expected in the upcoming location in downtown Mankato.
The 507 is owned by Steve Wegman, who also owns and operates Weggy’s on Campus.
