(Mankato, MN) – A 45-year-old Mankato man is facing felony drug charges after being busted with a pile of cocaine.

Authorities say they found digital scales, baggies, Oxycodone tablets and 43 grams of coke during a Wednesday search of Daniel’s Newell’s residence on Hudson Avenue. The search came after police were tipped off that Newell was involved in the sales of numerous different narcotics, which were coming from Chicago.

Prior to the search, police conducted a “trash pull” at Newell’s residence and found evidence of cocaine and marijuana, along with a broken needle and an empty prescription pill bottle.

Newell has five previous convictions for drug sales or possession.
