(Nicollet, MN) – In the days since the school shooting in Florida, police in towns across southern Minnesota have been busy investigating reported threats and the latest such case was in Nicollet.
The Sheriff’s Office says it was notified on Thursday of a disturbing comment made by a student of Nicollet Public Schools. Authorities say the comment could have been interpreted as a threat against the school or its students.
The Sheriff’s Office says it investigated the complaint and found that there was no eminent danger and Friday’s school day was allowed to be held as normal. Police spoke to the student Friday morning and say they determined that there was no valid threat against the school.
