Redwood Falls Woman Allegedly Kicks Mankato Cop in Face

(Mankato, MN) – A 27-year-old Redwood Falls woman stands accused of assaulting a Mankato police officer.

Jasmine Sabrea Brown is charged with one felony and two lesser counts for the Saturday incident at a hotel in Mankato.

According to the complaint, police were called because Brown and a male subject were fighting.The responding officer says Brown gave him a fake name (Jillian Jane) and became belligerent as he tried to ascertain what was happening. Brown was ultimately placed in handcuffs and as she was being put into the squad car, Brown allegedly kicked the officer in the face with her boot.

Brown and the male subject were in Mankato for a child exchange at the time of the incident, as they have two kids in common. The children were in the inside a hotel room as the assault occurred.

The man involved, 28-year-old Adrian Garrett of Roseville, was charged with violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order and for fleeing police on foot.
