(Madelia, MN) – A 60-year-old Madelia man has been sentenced for disseminating pornography.
Myron Eugene Marwick was given 90 days in jail, seven years probation and fined $1,000. Martwick began serving his term on March 21st.
The felony charge of disseminating pornography came after Martwick sent a Madelia man a letter with two pornographic pictures inside in July, 2017.
The photos showed a nude woman engaged in intercourse with a man, but the woman’s face had been replaced with the face of the man’s 15-year-old daughter. The facial image of the girl used in the pornographic images was from her school picture.
Three weeks later, the family found a creepy, naked Barbie doll nailed to a tree in their yard. The doll had artificial nipples and fake pubic hair. It also had a blindfold over its eyes, its lips were sewn shut with black thread and it had small rope-like strings attached to its ankles and wrists. Similar dolls were found in a search of Martwick’s home.
The discovery of the doll led to two counts of stalking against Martwick, but they were dismissed with his plea on the pornography charge.
Police say Martwick told them he has unresolved issues from a prior marriage to a 15-year-old girl and he was taking out his anger about that incident on the teen victim.
