Snow Emergency Declared in Eagle Lake

(Eagle Lake, MN) – With the winter storm that’s dropped a thick layer of the white stuff across a wide swath of the state, numerous cities in southern Minnesota have declared snow emergencies.

In Eagle Lake, the snow emergency will start at 6:00am Tuesday, March 6th. Parking is prohibited on all city streets as well as county roads within city limits until the street has been plowed curb to curb. Vehicles that remain on streets and roads prior to them being plowed curb to curb during the snow emergency will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

Other local cities that have also declared snow emergencies thus far include Cleveland, Faribault, Madelia, Mapleton (business district), Montgomery, Waseca and Welcome.
