(St. James, MN) – A 61-year-old St. James woman stands accused of attacking two people at a local funeral home.

Shelly Miller has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of disorderly conduct.

Court documents say Miller and others were at the Sturm Funeral Home on September 2nd, while funeral arrangements were being made for Miller’s late nephew 28-year-old Dustin Wolters.

While there, Miller allegedly was yelling at a young man, telling him was the reason Wolters died and she slammed a truck door, hitting him on the right side of his head.

Miller then allegedly started yelling at and attacking a young woman who was sitting nearby in the grass. The victim suffered scratches and red marks across her face before the two were separated.

Wolters was found unresponsive at the Cedar Hansen Park and Campground north of Trimont in the overnight hours of September 1st. He was taken to the hospital in Fairmont where he was pronounced dead.

No word yet from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office on the cause of death.
